QNB Al Ahli's profits up 36% in 2022
QNB ALAHLI achieved an increase in consolidated net profits by EGP 2.724 bn to reach EGP 10.350 bn by the end of 2022, up by 36% compared to 2021. While the bank's standalone net profits reached EGP 10.124 bn.
The total assets reached EGP 483 bn by the end of December 2022, with an increase by EGP 123,711 bn compared to December 2021, with a growth rate of 34%.
The portfolio of loans increased by EGP 45 bn, to reach EGP 228 bn, which is up by 25% compared to 2021, while the bank’s market share of total loans reached 5.84% in September 2022 (according to the latest Data available from the Central Bank of Egypt) to maintain its leadership as the largest private bank lender in Egypt.
By the end of December 2022, the percentage of facilities granted to small and medium-sized companies amounted to about 25.5%, exceeding the Central Bank’s target in this regard, which was already achieved in December 2021, while the percentage of facilities granted to small companies reached 10.03%.
While the customer deposits amounted to EGP 406 bn at the end of December 2022, with an increase by EGP 111 bn, and a growth rate of 37% compared to December 2021, driven by growth in all activities.
