CIB makes the business case for climate finance innovation for Green Building at COP28 in Dubai, UAE. CIB’s Chief Sustainability Officer, Dr. Dalia Abdelkader, participated in the panel ‘Incentives for Financing the Green Construction Sector’, organized by the Saudi Green Building Forum (SGBF).
She highlighted CIB’s successful experience to support its construction and real estate clients in their decarbonization journey by offering green building finance and certification, driving momentum towards a real economy transition. Following the successful issuance of CIB’s corporate Green Bond, the Bank focused on offering a portfolio of climate finance solutions to its clients in the construction sector, clarifying the business case of green buildings finance. CIB, in collaboration with the IFC, facilitated EDGE certifications for two of Egypt’s leading real estate companies.”
