Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait Opens its First Interactive Digital Branch in Al Khiran Mall

Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK), a financial institution which strives to embrace cutting-edge banking solutions, has recently unveiled its latest offering to the Kuwaiti banking industry: a pioneering first-of-its-kind digital branch located at Al Khiran Mall.

ABK celebrated the inauguration of its new branch in Al Khiran Mall, attended by Abdulla Al Sumait, Acting Group CEO, Loai Muqames, CEO-Kuwait, Johair Marafi, Acting General Manager of Retail Banking, as well as several members of management and representatives of Kuwaiti media outlets. Attendees were introduced to the most prominent services offered at the new branch which serve as part of the Bank’s digital transformation plan aimed to enhance customer service.

 

The new digital branch in Al Khiran boasts intelligent and innovative technologies, which are considered the first of their kind in Kuwait, including interactive digital screens that enable visitors to utilize them without the need for touch. The branch also features a never-seen-before in Kuwait hologram feature that provides customers with a unique banking experience.

 

On this momentous occasion, Marafi expressed her enthusiasm and said, "The unveiling of ABK's digital branch, which represents an embodiment of our customer-centric approach and steadfast commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our esteemed clientele, underpins our unwavering focus towards facilitating seamless, efficient, and satisfaction-guaranteed banking experiences. In line with ABK’s unwavering mission to provide exceptional banking services to all customers across Kuwait, the recently established digital branch will not only cater to the residents of Al Khiran, but also the neighboring areas. This development serves as an integral milestone which helps revolutionize customers’ banking experience across Kuwait with enhanced accessibility and convenience.

 

Marafi continued, “The launch of our first digital branch in Al Khiran Mall embodies our approach to keeping up with digital developments. Equipped with the latest technologies, the branch reinforces ABK's leadership position in the domain of modern banking, enriching customers with added value through swift account opening, hassle-free transactions, and high security measures.

 

The new digital branch offers various self-service options for customers of all segments, including the provision of a digital signature service through devices in collaboration with the Public Authority for Civil Information including a range of tablet devices.

 

In addition to this, the branch provides self-service ATMs that offer cash deposit services, higher cash withdrawals, check deposits, account statements, customer account transfers, card payments, card and account inquiries, loan applications, card replacement requests, PIN resets, card activations, and limit increases for online and card withdrawals. The Bank plans to introduce more services in the near future for its customers.

 

Moreover, traditional ATMs are available at the new branch which offer cash deposit and withdrawal services, cardless withdrawals, password changes, transfers to customer accounts and other beneficiaries, card payments, check deposits, and account statements, among others.

 

She continued, "To inquire about any products or services, customers can also video chat with our staff through the available self-service machines which will facilitate smooth and instant transactions. We strive to continue to introduce the latest technologies to the banking sector to attract more customers to enjoy the Bank’s various benefits."

 

Marafi emphasized that ABK is keen to offer innovative services which enhance customers’ banking experience. These plans confirm ABK's strong focus on digital transformation to enhance customer satisfaction.

Furthermore, Marafi highlighted the significance of the branch in catering to customers’ ever-evolving and burgeoning requirements. Aligned with the Bank's unwavering commitment towards technology-driven banking, the new digital branch adheres to the highest quality standards and benchmarks to elevate the Bank's capabilities in delivering advanced banking products and services.

 

Marafi stated, "The launch of our new digital branch comes amid the growing use of technology to complete banking transactions quickly and securely. ABK will continue to innovate services and products to meet all customers' needs by opening more digital branches, and introducing more digital offers, products, and services that enhance our position among other banks in the Kuwaiti market.” She added, “We also strive to continuously develop the capabilities of our team to keep pace with the continuous change in customers' needs and consistently exceed their expectations."

 

ABK’s new digital branch is operational during Al Khiran Mall’s specified working hours from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 am to 11 pm on weekends. Marafi clarified that a team of the Bank’s employees will be present to guide customers on how to use the self-service machines in the branch, ensuring that they are familiarized with the latest technologies and highest security measures.
